Šeštąjame dešimtmetyje susikūrus reanimacinėms tarnyboms jau ne visų ligonių gyvybinės funkcijos nutrūkdavo amžinai. Mirusį žmogų pavykdavo atgaivinti ir anksčiau. Rašytiniuose šaltiniuose apie tai randama nemažai žinių. Platonas rašo apie tai vienas pirmųjų. Jis pasakoja apie mūšyje žuvusį žmogų, kurio kūnas po 10 dienų, kai buvo surenkami ir laidojami karių lavonai, dar tebebuvo nesugedęs. Dar po 2 dienų pašarvotas kario kūnas buvo užkeltas ant laužo. Tada jis staiga atgijo. Platonas patikslina, kad šis žmogus buvo Armenijo sūnus Eras, kilęs iš Pompilijos.
Kitą pasakojimą apie tokį spontanišką sugrįžimą į gyvenimą VIII a pateikia anglų vienuolis Bidas Garbusis. Kaip ir Platonas, Bidas nurodo prisikėlėlio vardą – Kaningemas, patikslindamas, kad tai atsitikę Nortambrainse. “Jis susirgo. Jam darėsi vis blogiau. Bet švintant jis pasikėlė ir staiga atsisėdo didžiausiam susirinkusiųjų apverkti kūno, siaubui. Jie išsilakstė. Tik žmona, mylėjusi jį labiausiai, liko kartu, išsigandusi ir drebanti”.
Tokie įvykiai minimi retai, jie išsklaidyti po įvairiausius šaltinius, tad surasti juos gana sunku. Dar sunkiau nustatyti kiekvieno atvejo patikimumą. Kalbu ne apie pačio įvykio patikimumą, bet apie tai, kad neįmanoma nustatyti, ar sugrįžęs į gyvenimą žmogus tikrai buvo klinikinės mirties būklėje. Tą patį galima pasakyti ir apie anglų antropologo E. Teilerio papasakotą atsitikimą su N. Zelandijos čiabuve. Kai moteris mirė, artimieji ją apraudojo ir apleido namą, kuriame gulėjo lavonas, nes pagal genties įstatymus, namas tapo tabu. Tačiau po kelių dienų gentainiai vėl pamatė ją gyvą ant upės kranto.
Pasakojama apie tokius atsitikimus ir dabar. Pvz., minima moteris, kurios reanimacijoje niekaip nepavyko atgaivinti, bet vežant į lavoninę ji atsigavo. 1978 “Izvestija” pateikė kitą istoriją. Donecke kranistė J. Vorobjova prisilietė prie 380 V elektros kabelio. 2 valandas reanimatoriai bandė ją atgaivinti, bet nepavyko. Nuvežta į lavoninę, dar po dviejų valandų ji atgijo. Tiesa, sąmonę atgavo tik po dviejų savaičių.
Gydytojai tokius atsitikimus aiškina neteisinga mirties diagnoze. Gal ir taip. Taip aiškinti lengviau, negu suprasti, jog susiduriame su reiškiniu, neįtelpančiu į mūsų žmogaus gyvenimo suvokimą.
Gana konkretus pasakojimas apie prisikėlimą pateiktas ir Biblijoje, kur rašoma apie pranašą Elijų: “Ir įėjo Elijus į namą. Ir štai miręs vaikas guli jo lovoje. Ir užrakino jis duris, ir pasimeldė Viešpačiui. Ir atsigulė jis virš vaiko, ir priglaudė lūpas prie vaiko lūpų, delnus prie vaiko delnų, ir žiūrėjo vaikui tiesiai į akis. Ir sušilo vaiko kūnelis… ir nusičiaudėjo vaikas 7 kartus, ir atmerkė vaikas akis”.
Senovės Romoje buvomanyta, kad įvairiais magiškais būdais žmogaus gyvenimą galima pratęsti ilgiau, negu buvo skirta likimo. Tačiau gyvenimas po to bus tariamas ir netikras. Apie tai užsimena ir Australijos aborigenai. Jų burtininkai gali trims dienoms atgaivinti žmogų. Atgaivintasis nieko nevalgo, tik guli prie laužo, jausdamas artėjantį šaltį.
Žinių, kad senovėje buvo žinoma, kaip prikelti žmogų, verta paieškoti kinų medicinopje. Pasirodo, reikia masažuoti akupunktūrinius taškus. Tai “kuacu” metodas. Specialistai mano, kad jam ne mažiau kaip 5000 metų. Galima spėti, kad buvo ir kitokių būdų. Štai kaip šamanai atgaivindavo mirusįjį. Tam tikras žmogus – isylka-ku – gula greta mirusiojo veidu žemyn ir taip išbūna mažiausiai tris dienas. Tuo laiku niekas neturi teisės įeiti. Po trijų parų isylka-ku išeina į lauką kartu su “mirusiu” arba vienas, poareikšdamas : “Keloch Torumas jį pasiėmė”.
Per visą žmonijos gyvavimo istoriją vyrauja nuomonė, kad egzistuoja kažkokia energetinė substancija, gyvybinės galios nešėja, kuri neišnyksta ir po kūno mirties. Vadinasi, šamanas susisiekia su šia substancija, su siela, palikusia kūną, priversdamas grįžti ją atgal. Asmuo, atliekantis tokį bandymą, taip pat stengiasi sau sukelti tam tikrą būseną – transą, nes manoma, kad tada ir jo siela apleis kūną, nors jutimų organai ir suvoks aplinką. Tokie pasakojimai negalėtų būti žinomi ištisus tūkstantmečius, jei kartkartėmis bent šis tas jų nepatvirtintų. Jei tautos beraštės, tokių atsitikimų liudijimus išsaugo žmonių atmintis. Kartais kalbama net apie visai nesenus laikus. Štai 1935 metais Nacionalinėje Taimyro Apygardoje (SSSR) užrašytas toks atsitikimas:
Gyveno šamanas Porbinas. Kartu gyveno sena našlė, taip pat Porbina. Senė turėjo du sūnus, vienas buvo jau didelis, medžiotojas, kitas – dar mažas. Kartą iš žiemos miško, kuriame laidodavo, senis atsivežė audiniu apsiūtą savo kirusios dukters kūną.
-Šamanausiu. – sako senis. – Noriu mergą atgaivinti. Paduok, vaikine, šamano pertuvę ir būgną. Vaikinas atnešė.
-O dabar važiuok. Netoliese jaunas šamanas yra. Tegul ateina. Man vienam gal jėgos pritrūks. Kai jaunasis šamanas atvažiavo, senio čiumas buvo pilnas svečių. Pats senis gulėjo ant grindų, pasukęs galvą į tundros pusę. Senis giliai kvėpavo, galva lingavo tartum bėgantis elnias. Šamanas visada mėgdžioja elnią, kai skverbiasi į apatinę žemę. Jaunasis šamanas atsigula šalia senio ir ima kalbėti, ką mato. Vienas svečias atsisėda ties jo galva, klausosi, ką jis kalba, ir kitiems persako.
-Atėjau į apatinę žemę. – sako jaunasis šamanas. – Priešais didelė, labai srauni upė. Prie jos stovi senis šamanas ir negali pereiti į kitą pusę.
Jaunasis šamanas perina per upę ir galų gale pasiekia mirusiųjų čiume esančią dėžę. “Penkios širdys guli dėžėje. – tęsia jis. – Keturios visai juodos, o viena dar pusiau balta. Manau, tai senio dukros širdis”.
Grįždamas, jis vėl pereina upę ir galų gale prikelia senio dukterį. Merga kilsterėjusi atsisėdo. Tik jos akys buvo apsiblaususios. Ji atsistojo ir pritūpė prie ugnies. O senis šamanas ir sako jaunąjam : “Prikėlei mano dukrą, dabar imk ją į žmonas, tai bus užmokestis už darbą”.
Tokių pasakojimų apie šamanus yra ir daugiau. Tik kartais žmogui atgaivinti prireikia net keleto dienų.
Vertinant šiuolaikinės reanimatologijos požiūriu, tokie gražinimai į gyvenimą atrodo fantastiški. Bet ne fantastiškesni negu šiuolaikinės reanimacijos pasiekimai, žiūrint praeities medikų akimis.
Tokių aprašymų randama įvairiose epochose ir kultūrose, ir jų nėra mažai. Jie kaip srovė teka iš praeities į dabartį. Pavyzdžiui, prieš kelis metus spaudoje sumirgėjo pranešimas ape atvirame lauke per 34° šaltį sušalusį mongolų berniuką. “Izvestijų” korespondentas rašė: “Pragulėjęs ten 12 valandų, berniukas nerodė jokių gyvybės žymių. Jo kūnas buvo suakmenėję. Bet didelėmis pastangomis mongolų gydytojai jį atgaivino. Tai fenomenalus atvejis”. Pranešime nekalbama apie tai, kokius metodus naudojo gydytojai. Gal jų būta itin senų, nes toje šalyje puikiai saugomos tradicijos.
Įdomus ir tarybinio tyrinėtojo, daug metų praleidusio Indijoje tarp genčių, kurių nepasiekia atsitiktiniai keliautojai, pasakojimas. Viename Tibeto vienuolyne jis stebėjo rlangos ritualą, kurio paskirtis – padėti sielai po kūno mirties. Susirenka artimiausių kaimų gyventojai, vienuoliai, giminės. Mirusįjį padeda vienuolyno kieme. Prieš jį lotoso poza sustingsta lama. Aplink tyla. Po kurio laiko negyvėlis lėtai pakyla. Jo akys tebėra užmerktos, veidas – kaip lavono. Judėdamas tartum automatas, jis apeina ratu vietą, kurioje gulėjo. Vėl atsigula ir sustingsta. Dabar jis jau pasiruošė laidojimui.
Tyrinėtoją labiausiai išgąsdino mirusiojo nenatūralumas, mechaniški judesiai, tartum judėtų ne žmogus, o automatas, manekenas, lėlė, kurią užsukę priverčia vaikščioti.
Galbūt lama naudoja kažkokį panašų į šamano metodą, paremtą įsitikinimu, kad net kūne nutrūkus gyvybinėms funkcijoms, sąmonė dar suvokia aplinką. Tai patvirtina ir ligoninėse atgaivintų žmonių pasakojimai. Žinomi atvejai, kai po klinikinės mirtes pacientas gali nuosekliai atpasakoti visas gydytojų pastangas bandant jį atgaivinti, pakartoja jų komandas, replikas.
Reanimatoriai gali žmogų atgaivinti tik praėjus ne daugiau 20 minučių po jų mirties. Ankstesnieji pasakojimai teigia, kad tai padaryta po daug ilgesnio laiko, kartais net po kelių dienų. Šiuo atveju verta prisiminti Haičio zombius. Būdą, kaip žmogų galima paversti zombiu, išrado žyniai vudu ir juodųjų vergų, išeivių iš Dahomėjos palikuonys. Jis susideda iš dviejų dalių – nužudymo ir atgaivinimo. Aukai, kurią planuojama paversti zombiu, į maistą įmaišoma nuodų, pagamintų iš dvidantės žuvies. Šioje žuvyje yra labai stiprių, nervus paraližuojančių nuodų, stipresnių už ciano kalį net 500 kartų. Akimirksniu auka liaujasi kvėpuoti, pamėlynuoja, akys tampa stiklinės. Tai klinikinės mirtes požymiai.
Po kelių dienų nunuodytasis pavagiamas iš kapinių, kad būtų prikeltas gyventi (pastaba: autorius painioja sąvokas. Šamanų, lamų ir vudu apeigos – juodoji magija, nieko bendro neturinti su gyvybe. Mirusio žmogaus siela, palikusi kūną mirties metu, iškeliauja savais keliais, tuo tarpu juodieji magai sugrąžina į fizinį lavoną to žmogaus nusimestą astralinį lavoną, todėl žmogus ir atrodo kaip automatas. Tai ne atgaivinimas). Taip šis negyvėlis tampa zombiu. Savojo “aš” jis nebesuvokia arba suvokia silpnai. Tie, kuriems pasitaikė sutikti zombių, juos apibūdina kaip žmones, beprasmiškai spoksančius tiesiai prieš save. Prisiminkime pasakojimą apie atgaivintą šamano dukrą – jos akys buvo apsiblaususios.
Tyrinėtojas, praleidęs Haityje tris metus, tvirtina, kad zombiams parenkami patys stipriausi žmonės. Mat atgaivinus, jie paverčiami cukrašvendžių plantacijų vergais. Baimė tapti zombiu tokia didelė, kad haityje laidotuvių ritualas apima tam tikrus veiksmus, po kurių mirusiojo jau tikrai negalima atgaivinti.
Pavertimo zombiu ritualas panašus į Australijos aborigenų magiją. Etnografai užrašė pasakojimų apie tai, kad numatytą auką iš anksto pagrobia burtininkas ir paguldęs ant kairiojo šono įsmeigia jai į širdį nusmailintą kaulą arba lazdą. Kai širdis sustoja, siela apleidžia kūną. Po to įvairiomis manipuliacijomis burtininkas vėl atgaivina auką, įsakydamas pamiršti viską, kas jai atsitikę ir įteigdamas, kad po trijų dienų jis numirsiantis. Toks žmogus grįžta namo nieko neprisimindamas. Jis nesiskiria nuo kitų. Tačiau tai jau nebe žmogus, tik vaikščiojantis kūnas.
Žmogaus atgaivinimo ritualas ir šiandien atliekamas Dahomėjoje.
Haičio žyniai mano, jog žmogų galima prikelti ir po 10 dienų, Sibiro šamanai – po 7 dienų. Savaitė minima ir šumerų molinėse lentelėse. Šiaurės Amerikos indėnai ir naujosios Gvinėjos gentys kalba apie 6 dienas. Tačiau daug svarbiau yra ne laiko intervalas, kuris, beje, visur nėra labai ilgas, o įsitikinimas, kad po tam tikro laiko žmogų galima atgaivinti.
Tikriausiai amžiams bėgant daug tokių pasakojimų pradingo. Neišliko daug ir tokių , kuriuose kalbama, kad žmogaus gyvenimą galima pratęsti, savanoriškai paaukojant kito asmens gyvybę. Tokių duomenų turi įvairios kultūros. Pvz., kai susirgo Čingischano sūnus Ugedėjus, šamanas paaiškino, kad jis pasveiksiąs tik tada, kai kas nors iš artimiausių giminių savo noru perims jo ligą ir mirtį. Tą padaryti sutiko Ygedėjaus brolis Tolujus. Šamanai jį užkeikė, užkalbėjo vandenį. Paėmęs taurę abiem rankomis, Tolujus išgėrė skystį. Nors jis ir nemirė, jo pasiryžimas pasiaukoti už brolį prilygo tikrai mirčiai. Ugedėjus pasveiko.
Tokių atsitikimų būta ir senovės Romoje. Svetonijus pasakoja, kad susirgus Kaligulai atsirado tokių, kurie viešai pareiškė pasiryžę numirti už jį. Cituojamas ir Kijevo Pečioros lavroje žinomas atsitikimas. Kunigaikštis Sviatoša pareiškęs, kad po trijų dienų numirsiąs ir išsikasęs duobę vienoje iš olų, pasiūlė gydytojui siriečiui užimti jo vietą. Sirijietis sutiko. Atlikęs išpažintį, jis atsigulė į mirties guolį, ištiesė kojas ir atidavė sielą Dievui. O palaimintasis kunigaikštis Sviatoša gyveno dar 30 metų niekur neišeidamas iš vienuolyno.
